This 2.2 BSCFD storage station was in major need of updating. In conjunction with a major OEM we replaced all of the dehydration equipment and controls. We further consulted on retrofitting the BOP and Compression control system including the I & E.
A major utility had selected the low bidder to design and implement a control system for a new 1.8 BSCFD storage station meant to be the standard for all future facilities. Unfortunately, the contractor failed to meet the design needs and the scheduling needs. We were brought in to take over. We completed the project maintaining their original schedule and under their original budget. Our expertise in compression, dehydration, and multiple types of automation platforms made us one of few who could pull this off.
We were brought in to retrofit the control system of this 2 BSCFD storage station. The existing platform was PLC-5 with Wonderware and Pi. The end user wanted to maintain the HMI and PI to avoid having to retrain the personnel. Further, this was in a state that had the most strict regulations in the country.
